Mr. Talarico has served on the PEP Board of Directors since 2009 and is the current Board Secretary. Mr. Talarico has served as a member of the finance committee throughout his tenure on the Board and served on several nominating committees. Mr. Talarico served as the Finance Director for the City of Oberlin for over 24 years, and a total of 31 years in the public sector. In Oberlin, Mr. Talarico was responsible for financial reporting, liability, property and health insurances, utility billing, revenue collections, accounts payable, payroll, treasury and investment management, income tax collections and administration, and debt management. He also served a year as both Finance Director and Interim City Manager.
Prior to working with the City of Oberlin, Mr. Talarico was the Deputy Auditor for the City of Parma. Additional experience includes serving as an internal/corporate auditor in the private sector for 8 years. Mr. Talarico earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Cleveland State University and is also a Certified Public Finance Administrator. He is a member, and past president, of the Ohio Association of Public Treasurers, and currently its Executive Director. He also served as Chairman of the BORMA Health consortium and is a member of other professional organizations. Mr. Talarico also serves his church, as a member of their finance council and a regular volunteer.
Mr. Talarico enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their two daughters. He also enjoys walking/hiking the Metro park trails with his wife, bicycling, and spending time outdoors.
