David Christy
Vice Chairman
Mr. David Christy joined the PEP Board of Directors in 1990 and is
currently serving as the Vice Chairman representing Mill Creek
Metropolitan Park District (Mill Creek MetroParks). Mr. Christy began
his career as a general accounting manager in the manufacturing
industry. In 1981, he went to work in the public sector as the Business
Manager of Mill Creek MetroParks and, in 2002, began serving as the
Administrative Services Director/Treasurer. Mr. Christy retired from the
MetroParks in December of 2011, after 30 years of service.
A graduate of Youngstown State University, Mr. Christy earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Mr. Christy has been married
to his wife Julee for 22 years and has two sons, one grandson and two
beautiful granddaughters. Mr. Christy continues to be committed to
volunteer service in his community and his church, where he serves as
treasurer, a role he has fulfilled for the past 30 years. In addition,
he is worship leader and plays guitar in the church’s praise band. He is
actively involved in many projects through his neighborhood
association. In his leisure time, Mr. Christy enjoys golf, photography,
travel, music and reading.
